COLETTE POPE HELDNER

Art Brokerage: (1902-1990) American artist Colette or Collette Pope Heldner was married to Knute Heidner (1877-1952), a noted Swedish-born artist. In 1923 they settled in New Orleans on St. Peter's Street in the Vieux Carre or the old French Quarter. Colette Pope Heldner's style of painting has been described as in the manner of French impressionism. Her favorite subject matter was picturesque courtyards and architecture of the old or antique New Orleans.
